SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Cohort members will develop critical coaching skills by attending coaching classes, completing online modules, attending workshops, and participating in coaching events.

EXPERIENCE

Cohort members will gain valuable coaching experience by completing at least 60 hours of field experience coaching in a primary and secondary sport.

NETWORKING

Cohort members will have opportunities to develop valuable relationships with other cohort members, community leaders, school districts and others in the coaching profession.

Undergraduate Coaching Certificate Program

Fundamental Skill Development Experience and Opportunities

Are you interested in coaching? The Undergraduate Coaching Certificate Program (UCCP) of the Thornton-McFerrin Coaching Academy aims to educate, mentor, and prepare those interested in the various opportunities related to the coaching profession and youth development. Our program is open to all undergraduate majors. The UCCP is a unique blend of in-person and online coursework along with field-based coaching designed to help students develop their coaching skills.
